Day 84 Sunday 4th September

Day 84 Sunday 4th September
Today was one of those very special days when you think &how lucky am I?&.  We left our rustic camp site at Coalmine Beach, Walpole just after 9.30am and headed for the &Valley of the Giants& to do the treetop walk.  It really was quite breath-taking walking on the suspended platform at the same height as the canopy of the giant kari trees. We then did a  beautiful ground walk among the trees learning much about the flora and fauna of the area. From here we drove on to a small but spectacular national park called William Bay. Located on the coast we visited spots like Waterfall Beach where a small waterfall plunged into the white sand of the beach, Madfish Bay , a tiny bay surrounded by rocks and crashing surf and Green Pool,  a gorgeous calm swimming area created by large  rocky outcrops stopping the surf from coming in. We stopped here for lunch and then drove on through the town of Denmark to  Albany. Hanna and Ray, who we had met up at Coral Bay, live in Albany and were most insistent that we should leave our vans at a friend's house and stay in their home. Heather and Paul had already arrived a couple of days earlier. Hanna and Ray's house is  absolutely beautiful with amazing views overlooking  the bay of Albany. We all have our own bedrooms and had a delicious dinner of fish and  chips followed by pavlova. Hanna and Ray are just incredible hosts.
